Dear: Technical Sergeant Coolidge,

Hi! my name is Garcia Victoria. I am 16yrs old and I attend to Farragut H.S. in JROCT. You are a very strong man because you took charge of a compamy and for encouraging your own people to never give up and it was all on you. Also for fighting for 4 days in the woods.
One of the benefits of you is that you would stand for your country, and risking your life for your people. Also you care to protect your people and try to save them. These are just some of the benefits of you and the country, but theres a lot more great things you did.
As you fought for 4 straight days in a cold and shivering days, I could just imagine how you could be really brave and not givign up for yourself, I would't even make it there. But you should always wake up in the mornings thinking and feeling really proud that you have done an exellent work!!
I wish you the best on everything but especially to enjoy the rest of your life peacefully and proudly because you deserve it... Thank you once more and take care!!

Sincerely: Garcia,Victoria

Name:Charles H. Coolidge
Place of birth:Signal Mountain, Tennessee
Allegiance:United States of America.
Service/branch:United States Army.
Rank:technical Sergeant
Battles wars:World war II
Awards: Medal of Honor.

Leading a section of heavy machineguns supported by 1 platoon of Company K, he took a position near Hill 623, east of Belmont sur Buttant, France, on October 24, 1944, with the mission of covering the right flank of the 3d Battalion and supporting its action. T/Sgt. Coolidge went forward with a Sergeant of Company K to reconnoiter positions for coordinating the fires of the light and heavy machineguns. They ran into an enemy force in the woods estimated to be an infantry company. T/Sgt. Coolidge, attempting to bluff the Germans by a show of assurance and boldness called upon them to surrender, whereupon the enemy opened fire. With his carbine, T/Sgt. Coolidge wounded 2 of them. There being no officer present with the force, T/Sgt. Coolidge at once assumed command. Many of the men were replacements recently arrived; this was their first experience under fire. T/Sgt. Coolidge, unmindful of the enemy fire delivered at close range, walked along the position, calming and encouraging his men and directing their fire. The attack was thrown back. Through 25 and October 26, the enemy launched repeated attacks against the position of this combat group but each was repulsed due to T/Sgt. Coolidge's able leadership. On October 27, German infantry, supported by 2 tanks, made a determined attack on the position. The area was swept by enemy small arms, machinegun, and tank fire. T/Sgt. Coolidge armed himself with a bazooka and advanced to within 25 yards of the tanks. His bazooka failed to function and he threw it aside. Securing all the hand grenades he could carry, he crawled forward and inflicted heavy casualties on the advancing enemy. Finally it became apparent that the enemy, in greatly superior force, supported by tanks, would overrun the position. T/Sgt. Coolidge, displaying great coolness and courage, directed and conducted an orderly withdrawal, being himself the last to leave the position. As a result of T/Sgt. Coolidge's heroic and superior leadership, the mission of this combat group was accomplished throughout 4 days of continuous fighting against numerically superior enemy troops in rain and cold and amid dense woods.

WHAT HAPPENS....

Does it ever gets accomplish?
Like something so easy?
Or just give up and then move on?
Does it make you happy when you left your dream for something else?
Or does it frustates you that you can't fall asleep at night.
is like a hopless mother that's looking for hope but can't find it.

Maybe you don't know whare to look at
Like as playing hide and seek.
Or maybe you gave up and then move on w/o EVER looking back from what you always wanted...

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judge by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.."

This qoute means that MLK wants every person to be treated equally and parents would like that for their childrens to. People don't want to be judge by there color but to be judge by their character.Peolpe want equality meaning they want to be treated equal, and MLk and the people want that for their childrens...

Once my mom had an American Dream.... Ever since she got to the U.S.A she wanted to speak english. But after a few years that passed she had my older sister and me!! So she had to forget about her dream that she had made.. But now that I have to ask her what is her American Dream she told me that she wanted to go to trips out of Chicago and also she wanted to accomplish all of her goals before she died... So for now she is still with her dream and she is going to do it!!! (that's what she said..)

My dad don't really have a BIG dream because he got to accomplsih his goals like: he's a resident in the U.S. He has illegal papers, and a pretty good job! But the thing he wants is for his daughters to have a really good career and a succesful life...

IMMIGRANTS PANIC....!!!

IMMIGRANTS......

Many people are asking this same question???..... Should the immigrants stay here in the United States? YES!!!... They should, this is why I think, first of all: immigrated people come here to WORK! And put the food in the table for their family everyday, also they do it because of their CHILDREN'S and because they all want better LIFE'S to help their family. These are some of the things of why immigrated people come here to the U.S. and I agree that they should just stay here and live them alone. The population of the immigrants is about 90% and all they want is for their children's to succeed in life. Everyday more than 10 people come to the United States illegal trying not to be caught. But some of those 10 people only half of it would make it while the others are gone for ever, meaning they died in the desert.

Immigrated people come here to WORK, and give all they got. A lot of people would do any job just to keep their families alive and buy something they really need... also to get more money and send some to their family that's on the other side so they can buy their own food, also how would you feel if your family didn’t have money and you don't have no other choice?.. You'll probably do anything for your family to keep them alive. Immigrated people don't come here just to chill, they come here for a purpose.... to get paid a litter more ($$) but most of them work in fabrics because they aren't illegal. Also not because of work, it's also to learn a new language which is English so they can communicate with other people.
The other thing of why immigrants come here is because of their... CHILDREN'S! They get here because the parents want a better future for their kids and to become at least Latinos. Also to get better LIFE'S , parents just want their kids to succeed in life and become someone in life someone to help other immigrated people to get their dreams come true!!.. Also they all do it for their children's, there not doing it to get the president or the senators mad, this is because of them. (The future!!) Also the senators are trying to make a new law for the immigrants so they can pass to the U.S. legally.

NOT ONLY MEXICANS COME HERE.....

this video is good because it talks about how people work hard.. and the mexicans are not the only one who come here to work but theres also many races that come to work to fallow there dreams. Immigrants deserve the privillage to stay in this country.

one of my goals that I accomplish were to take my sister to the movies and go to the movies with my sister.
I took my litter sister to the park on september and it was on a friday. It was a really nice day almost about 90 degrees outside. So then she told me that she wanted to go to the park and i had promise her that i was going to take her one day..... so i did. It was pretty late but i finally took her.!! After that she was satisfice!!!! hopefully i take her more often for the next summer that comes......!!

The next goal that i accomplsih was going to the movies with my older sister. We had gone to go see mirrors!!!! It was really scary because this guy always saw dead people but he dindn't know until he started to see strange things. We both got real scare but it was fun to. At the end I really enjoy watching that movie!! but we want to go again, but this time with our friends!!.......

MY WORST TORTURE EVER!!! BUT A HAPPY ENDING..

My name is sndra. I was born in Africa and i was separate from my family from a white person and i was sent to the south to work as a slave at age 14. My job was to take care of 5 kids and all were boys. One time one of the kids was crying and the owner came and hit me with a stick metal and beating him almost to death. He left me with a purple eye, and i couln't move. But the kids helped me to cleaned up.
One time the owner came and hit his own son because his wife left him for another guy who was younger than her. Also he was drunked. The kids were tramatize and they wanted me to do something, so i did. Once the owner fell asleep i grabed the metal and started to hit him on his face and his legs so he couln't walk.
After, we just left him and took the kids to a far place where they coudln't see him no more. And staretd a new life. I worked and i watch the kids grow, so i became there mother. I had a beutiful life after that with my own kids!!!!!......

WHAT AMERICA AND I VLAUE ARE....

What I value the most is my family, education, and liberty. What I think America values the msot is: the money, the law and their rights. These things are what we both value the most. Also because we think differently to.
I value more my family because there are always there for me and there going to be my family no matter what. Also the education is really important to me because it's what I would want in my future, but not only that because it's also to help my family. And the last one would be liberty because with out it there wouldn't be any of our own rights and not be free from what we (Americans want).
What America really vslues are money because they can get anything they want like only materials and onother thing would be the laws because they have their own rights. The last one would be their rights because we have to have our own rights because that way we can do things of our own.
These are things that we as Americans Value the most and is something really valuable for us.

AMERICAS VALUES!!!!

My thoughts about this topic (Americans value) is what people value the most like: their freedom, pursue of happiness, and the right to vote. The things I value the most are: education, survival, money, and friendship and what Americas value are happiness, Education, Liberty, Democracy, Declaration of Independence, Law, the right to vote, and Civil rights.
My values do not match because I have different things than the Americans, but I think the money and the happiness is what we Americans want and its really valuable to us.
Some of my values are different from my classmates because some think that friendship is not important and the money because is not the only thing in life, but I my point of view I think that the money and the friendship is important to me even though there’s other things in life. I value family the most because it’s your family that you can always look up to when you have something or need something, and that’s what I value the most. What I value the least is the money because either way money comes and goes, also no body can buy love with money only materials that’s why money is something I really don’t value a lot.
